My New Life

God it has been a long time since I have written. I guess this is what happens when you don’t have computer access besides at work. A lot has happened since graduation in August. So I guess I will start there.

Graduation!:
I graduated! I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with degrees in Women’s Studies and English. And I did it in four years and a summer. After graduation I got plastered. And that kinda sums that up.

Job!:
Upon graduation I got a job. I am one of the few of my friends who has something that looks permanent and is in a field that I actually enjoy. I am currently in a training program for people to become union organizers that is run by the largest union in this country. Through this I did a 3-day training, then a two week internship and now I am currently in a three month apprenticeship. The apprenticeship is with a major health care union in Pennsylvania and I am based in Pittsburgh. I will be trying to organize hospitals around the state and get them to become union facilities. Whether they like it or not. Mahahahaha!
But right now I am currently in Central PA working on the Kerry campaign. Yes, that’s right they sent me home. They needed the help in this area so they transferred me up here to work. Oh the irony. I tried so hard to leave central PA and my boss sends me back. He thinks he is funny. But hey, if we can win central PA then I will feel that it was worth it. And man, do I have some stories to tell about working up here (but I will save them for a later blog).

Personal Life:
I guess this kinda sums it up:
Friend from old job at book store: “So how’s your love life?”
Me: “Complicated.”
Friend: “I wouldn’t expect anything less.”
Yep. (more later)

Ok, I gotta run. I pretty much live in my car. I drive an hour to meet the people I work with then I drive all around central PA for the rest of the day before driving back home. Ugh

two quick things a co-worker has taught me...two things not to discuss at MY work...1) religion and B) politics...

"What do you mean, GOD's a REPUBLICAN..." that's the kind of humor I like...

I am a republican and I forgot, I actually voted for Kerry...I think...I can't recall if I voted or not...I think I did...I am almost certain I voted...oh well that was a year ago... anywho, I wanted Kerry to win, just because I , well no sense in going into it,

the word thingy,..green gwzim...

I think it's pronounced Gee WIZ em...or Ge wiz im... it's personal preference...but the green adds a nice touch...
