I won a Goldfish at the Lake Silkewood Fireman’s Bazaar!

So I spent $1 to win the fish

Then went out and spent $25 on a tank and supplies…

No wonder I never have any cash.

But, at least I have a new pet, I wonder if I can teach him to fetch?

Don't Eat That!!!

So, my two co-workers and I went on the South Beach Diet together. Amazingly it isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. We just finished the first two weeks and I lost about 10 lbs. Half way to my goal of taking off the 20lbs this job has put on me. (Damn job) Let me just tell you though, there is no way I could have done it if the other two weren’t doing it as well. When the pasta was calling my name I always had someone there to scream “NO! Don’t do it!!” Which is surprisingly helpful. Now, hopefully I will stick with it so the weight keeps coming off.

Anyway, I better go pack for my trip to H’burg for a few days of training. Wee fun! Well, at least it gets me out of NE PA for a few days.

Back in the Swing

So I guess I should try to start writing more. Getting back into the swing of this was harder than I thought. Between getting back into the habit of writing everyday and the fact that I have been really busy at work lately, it’s been tough. Besides, my life for the most part is kinda boring.

As I said, work has been crazy. There was a wrench thrown into the works here, so that kicked our asses into high gear. But now things are pretty much back to normal. Oh, we did get a new guy though! It’s nice to get someone else on the team. As well as expend my world of people I know up here from 2 to 3. Always exciting.

Another good note: I got props from my head boss that I am doing a good job. It’s always good to get complements, especially when that person is sparse with praise.

Anyway, I warned you my life was boring…

More soon, and this time hopefully it won’t take a week.

A Thank You to My Friends

It’s been a long few weeks since I have written. It still sometimes doesn’t seem like it is real, like my dad isn’t really gone. But it is slowly sinking in, day after day it gets a little better. I have a wonderful group of friends; I have gotten cards, notes, phone calls, e-mails, ext. from friends old and new. Some that I even haven’t heard from since high school. So, I thank them all very very much and I love you all.

So now the healing beings; along with the dealings with lawyers and cleaning of the house. Things that I haven’t thought I would be doing for a long time, suddenly I have to take charge of.

But for now I’m going to try to finally get back to normality. Work has been keeping me very busy and that does actually help. And I’m going to try to start writing again every day (or close to it).

So again, thank you all. It really does mean a lot.
